　　Answer: According to regulations, a citizen who wants to go abroad for private purposes shall apply for passport with exit-entry administration of the place where his/her permanent registered residence is located. The application will be handled within 15 working days. After the passport is obtained, the citizen should apply for visa with the embassy or consulate of the destination country in China. The applicant should provide the following documents with the application:

　　1.Originals and copies of ID card and household register.

　　2.Original completed application form.

　　3.Three bareheaded full-face half-length optical glossy color photos with blue background (One photo pasted on the application form)

　　4.For cities where application for passport on demand is no available, the applicant should also provide the following documents:

　　1)Applicant to go abroad for package tour should provide invoice provided by travel agency having outbound tourism business license; applicant to go abroad for self-help tour should provide certificate of international currency equivalent to at least USD 4000 necessary for the tour (i.e., the deposit receipt or bank certificate of the applicant).

　　2)Applicant to go abroad for work or service should provide employment or recruitment certificate provided by the employer or recruiter in the destination country; applicant to be sent abroad by labor service company for work or service should provide completed Overseas Labor Service Application Form and a copy of the contract signed by the labor service company and the applicant.

　　3)Self-financed applicant to study abroad with education background of junior college or above should provide Qualification Verification Certificate for Self-financed Student to Study Abroad provided by provincial-level education administration.

　　4)Applicant to go abroad for cultural exchange should provide approval certificate provided by culture department of provincial level or above or go through procedures according to related regulations.

　　Question: I want to visit Mo's Manor in Pinghu, could you tell me about it?

　　Answer: Mo's Manor is a large enclosed ancient residential building complex built by Mo Fangmei,a rich lord of Pinghu in late Qing Dynasty. The construction of the manor was started in the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign (1897) and completed in 1899 at a total cost of 100,000 liang of silver. Three generations of the Mo's had lived here for more than half a century. The manor has a total area of 7 mu,building area of 2600 square meters and 77 rooms of varied sizes. Its main structure can be divided into three groups (left,middle and right) and four tiers from the front to the back,with symmetric and flexible layout. Elaborately carved eaves,magnificent and varied cartouche in front of the corridor,exquisite brick carvings,mural paintings and ridge sculptures can be found everywhere. There are three gardens in manor,small and exquisite,pleasing to both the eye and the mind. Furnishings,including furniture,calligraphy,painting and antique,display the essence of Jiangnan culture.

　　The buildings of the manor vary in height and are in picturesque disorder,presenting the beauty of ancient Chinese buildings. With intact buildings,abundant material objects and representative styles,which are unrivalled in Jiangnan,the manor has won wide praise from Chinese and foreign visitors,thus it is also known as "the Forbidden City in Jiangnan". And its unique artistic charm has also attracted the attention from TV & film circle.
