Recently, the eighth edition of the "Maker China" Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Finals concluded. The project "Development of Semiconductor Wafer Automatic Material Handling System (AMHS)" by Huaxin (Jiaxing) Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., a company in Pinghu, emerged as the winner in the fiercely contested national finals. This marks the first time Pinghu has won a national award and secured the championship since the launch of the "Maker China" competition in 2016.

Huaxin (Jiaxing) Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in the Pinghu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park in June 2021 and began production in January 2022. It is a service provider with independent intellectual property rights, dedicated to the domestic replacement of AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) in the semiconductor intelligent manufacturing overall solution. As a pioneer in the domestic AMHS field, Huaxin focuses on independent research and development, production, sales, and after-sales maintenance of products such as AMHS, wafer handling automation equipment, and key components.

It is understood that the AMHS system can effectively improve the production efficiency of semiconductor wafer factories, directly affecting product yield, reducing labor costs, and lowering chip breakage rates. It has become a standard configuration for intelligent equipment in semiconductor wafer factories and is the main artery of wafer transport globally. However, the global semiconductor AMHS field has long been dominated by foreign companies, with a market share exceeding 90%. The independent technological development in China is a critical issue that urgently needs to be addressed. The AMHS research and development project declared by Huaxin this time is the result of the company's team's six years of effort. The core technology they meticulously crafted successfully broke the monopoly held by foreign companies and solved the bottleneck problem in the front-end equipment of domestic wafer factories.

According to Lu Haibo, Director of the Board Office of Huaxin (Jiaxing) Intelligent Equipment Co., behind the company's "leapfrog" development is not only its own dedicated efforts but also the thoughtful "motherly" service provided by the Pinghu government. As a startup, Huaxin, during its development in Pinghu over the past few years, has received guidance from the Pinghu government at almost every crucial moment, from registration, settling down to production. The "motherly" service from the government not only allows the company to enjoy tangible policy benefits but also helps the company better accept departmental supervision and address any deficiencies. Especially in this "Maker China" competition, the government played a crucial role, helping us navigate through challenges and successfully winning the national award. It is the proactive service from the Pinghu government that allowed Huaxin to seize development opportunities and advance rapidly. Currently, the company's order backlog exceeds 100 million RMB, with orders scheduled until June next year, and it is expected to expand further this year.
