Answer:Mo's Manor is a large enclosed ancient residential building complex built by Mo Fangmei,a rich lord of Pinghu in late Qing Dynasty.The construction of the manor was started in the 23rd year of the Guangxu reign(1897)and completed in 1899 at a total cost of 100,000 liang of silver.Three generations of the Mo's had lived here for more than half a century.The manor has a total area of 7 mu,building area of 2600 square meters and 77 rooms of varied sizes.Its main structure can be divided into three groups(left,middle and right)and four tiers from the front to the back,with symmetric and flexible layout.Elaborately carved eaves,magnificent and varied cartouche in front of the corridor,exquisite brick carvings,mural paintings and ridge sculptures can be found everywhere.There are three gardens in manor,small and exquisite,pleasing to both the eye and the mind.Furnishings,including furniture,calligraphy,painting and antique,display the essence of Jiangnan culture.

The buildings of the manor vary in height and are in picturesque disorder,presenting the beauty of ancient Chinese buildings.With intact buildings,abundant material objects and representative styles,which are unrivalled in Jiangnan,the manor has won wide praise from Chinese and foreign visitors,thus it is also known as"the Forbidden City in Jiangnan".And its unique artistic charm has also attracted the attention from TV&film circle.Since 1981,approximately 1000 movies and TV episodes,such as Dream of the Red Chamber,Family,Spring and Autumn,Rain of Phoenix Tree,Savage Land,Fate of Half Life and Drawing Soul have been shot in the manor.The magnificent ancient houses have now become an excellent place for recreation and cultural tourism.

Founded in 1964,Mo's Manor Museum,with Mo's Manor as carrier,is a themed museum and a public institution,and has received millions of Chinese and foreign visitors.
