High-quality foreign-funded enterprises in Pinghu Economic Development Zone (Pinghu EDZ) are gaining momentum. In 2024, the zone's 121 foreign-funded industrial enterprises above the designated size achieved an output value of over 43 billion yuan. With fewer than half of the total industrial enterprises above the designated size, these foreign-funded companies contributed nearly 70% of the total industrial output, demonstrating their significant impact. As 2025 begins, Pinghu EDZ has reported another milestone in the growth of its high-quality foreign-funded enterprises: the recent opening of BOTHEC Heat Control Equipment (Pinghu) Co., Ltd. BOTHEC, headquartered in Germany, specializes in providing high-quality explosion-proof electrical appliances and integrated heat tracing system products for hazardous and explosion-prone fields. BOTHEC Pinghu serves as its Asia-Pacific headquarters, primarily manufacturing heat control equipment such as junction boxes, field control boxes, micro-switches, and heat tracing cables. "We chose to establish our operations here because of Pinghu's steadfast commitment to its open-door strategy and international cooperation. The city provides fertile ground for international development," explained Dr. Martin Schäfter, CEO of BOTHEC Group, regarding the decision to set up in Pinghu. Pinghu EDZ has become a hub and pioneering zone for high-quality foreign-funded enterprises. Relying on its Sino-German and Sino-Japanese industrial parks, the zone has attracted investments from over 30 countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, and Japan, with more than 300 foreign-funded enterprises establishing operations there. From the continuous influx of foreign enterprises to the chain-like development of industrial clusters, Pinghu EDZ is becoming a prime location and preferred choice for cutting-edge and innovative companies to invest and grow. With the opening of the new company, Dr. Schäfter expressed new expectations for the project's development: "We plan to deeply root our development in China, introduce advanced production equipment, further expand production capacity, and improve product quality. We aim to establish the Pinghu company as a benchmark production base for BOTHEC Group in China." As one of the city’s major economic platforms, Pinghu EDZ has built a "1+3+N" enterprise service system. By strengthening its "enterprise connection and chain integration" service brand, it has enhanced three key mechanisms: a closed-loop service mechanism, a headquarters liaison mechanism, and an industrial chain collaboration mechanism. Additionally, it has innovatively upgraded service platforms such as the Government Affairs Service Center and the "Ping Commerce Assists" enterprise service center. Pinghu EDZ is committed to being a nurturing and supportive "Ping Mama" to optimize the business environment comprehensively. |
