The optical-mechanical-electrical industry emerges with foreign investment and under the internal and external package development. It is also the fastest-growing industry in Pinghu in recent years. This industry produces mainly computers and the extended products, communication and the optical-electronic elements, equipment, electronic, machinery-electronic product etc. These industries are located in Pinghu Economic Development Zone (PEDZ)-the national level hi-tech special industry base of optical-machinery-electronic and province-level information industry zone. At present, the PEDZ is speeding up the infrastructure construction; quicken the pace of attracting optical-machinery-electronic enterprises from home and abroad to settle in Pinghu so as to form this kind of industrial chain & enterprise clusters.
