Bordering Shanghai Jinshan to the east, neighboring Hangzhou Bay to the south, Zhejiang Dushan Port Economic Development Zone is the "bridgehead" of connecting Zhejiang with Shanghai. The development zone was established in 2009 and approved as a provincial economic development zone in 2014, total planned area is 111.9 square kilometers. Dushan Port is a national first-class open port, with a length of 12.6 kilometers deep water coastline, which can build 43 berths of 30,000-50,000 tons , and 13 productive berths of 10,000 tons or above have been built. Within this zone, customs declaration and inspection system all ready , and there is an inland waterway of thousands tons- Huanggu Pond, which is directly connected to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, it is an important hub of sea and river intermodal Transportation in East China.
Introduction of leading industry
Zhejiang-Shanghai New Material Industrial Park: Planned area is 11.06 square kilometers, jointly established with Shanghai Petrochemical , which is the resources comprehensive utilization industrial base for China's LPG and“Top 10 China Chemical Potential Park”. Mainly focusing on the development of C3, C4 industrial chain and electronic chemicals, bio-pharmaceuticals, high-performance coatings, high-end surfactants, catalysts and other specialty chemicals. The representative enterprises include BASF, Covestro, Allnex, Rodder, Japan Adeka, TEIKOKU, TOKA pigment, DNT, Saikosrj, Satellite Energy, CAOHC, Xinfengming Group, and Transfar Group etc.
Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park: Planned area is 15 square kilometers, with the development oriented by clustering, intensification and high-end. Mainly focusing on the development of new energy auto parts, medical equipment, CNC machine tools, high-end intelligent equipment, marine engineering equipment industries etc.. The representative enterprises include France PG, Germany Stahlschmidt, Korea Samsol Casters, Shanghai Guoli, Essenway, Yifeng Auto Parts, Wanfeng Group, Shengzhong Heavy Equipment, Huate CNC, Chenguang Cable etc.
Modern Logistics Industrial Park: Planned area is 9 square kilometers, as a provincial level modern service industry cluster demonstration zone. Mainly strive to develop international logistics, bonded warehousing and processing, e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce industries etc.. At present, several of terminal warehousing projects such as SIPG Dushan Port Terminal, Zhejiang Energy Coal Terminal and Jiagang Grain Terminal have been built and put into operation, as well as a number of e-commerce companies such as Suning, Ease Business Group and Hongyuan Group have settled in the park. The goal of Modern Logistics Industrial Park is to become an important part of Shanghai International Shipping Center as well as an important logistics center on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay.
